Another year, the Tecatel-UPV chair has granted prizes for the end-of-course best report in terms of IPTV solutions, algorithms, and Hardware/ Software development in e-health. Two students from the UPV have seen their works awarded.
Amelia Delgado received the best end of course Project award for her IPTV modality and her Project on Smart network Architecture about the customisation of resources for the display of multimedia contents, the main objectives of this project is to offer a realistic solution to the network for services providers when distributing multimedia contents, as at the moment, high quality content can only be delivered by using an dimensional networks through static set up. The author proposes an architecture that keeps the status of the actual network using only the necessary in an automatic and adaptive way to diffuse multimedia content.
The e-Health´s, awards the best contribution into digital health solutions and has been granted to Sandra Huertas, for her work named “Información y asistencia en entornos públicos para personas mayores mediante servicios AAL”. (Information and assistance in public aérea conceived for older people through AAL services) The Project that merited the award is one of the AAl European Service Project PERSONA. Its main objective is to provide information and assistance (through a mobile device) to elder person in public areas, event taking place in the building when elder person are next to the building and propose assistance and apps to help them when they are inside. The idea of this service is to support elder people to do activities in their surroundings areas being autonomous, confident and feeling safe.
The graduation ceremony has been followed by a lecture named e-Sanidad: El Hospital 2.0 of Carlos Moro, Managing Director of Tecatel IPTV, where has been exposed some of the development made by Tecatel in the area of the Sanidad 2.0, designed to make medical record more accessible to professionals and Healthcare environment is, as per the lecturer comment, a growing sector which is not subject to economical restrictions.
During the graduation ceremony which took place last 25th of November at the UPV Gandia Campus, were present Javier Cremades, founding member of Tecatel; Pepe Pastor, Director of UPV gandia Campus and Fernando Boronat, director of the Tecatel UPV Chair.

The UPV Chairs, and particularly here, Tecatel´s, aim to help student formation with a better knowledge of companies environment, and their further integration in the working market .
