High-Level Ministerial Conference about e-Health 2010.
The new technologies exhibition happen together with the celebration in Barcelona of the High Level Ministerial conference 2010, inaugurated by Spanish Health Minister, Trinidad Jiménez, who announced during her speech that this year, Health Systems of all Spanish Autonomous Communities would be integrated in one unique Digital Health System. From this moment, interconnection through the Health Ministry will allow Medical professionals to get Access to their patient medical records, irrespectively of the community they are located.
The importance of the Digital Health
The Spanish initiation form part of the European objectives for development of digital health system. During their meeting in Barcelona European Ministers signed a declaration that recognizes the strategic value of Digital Health System to obtain a better European cohesion. Today, Spain is one of the most advanced country in term of digital medical record, and is actively participating to the European Project named epSOS about exchange of Medical Record.
Tecatel, as a board member of the HL7 chamber, HL7 Spain, was also present at the conference, symposiums and meetings taking place in Barcelona on the 15th, 16th and 17th of January.
